About the Internship

As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our Quality Control Strategies and Guidelines Group, driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and growth by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. You will assist in using data to create, present, and suggest innovative ideas and projects, as well as perform basic analysis to mitigate the risk of resistance through process improvements. These improvements will support our organization's objectives, including maintaining low costs, modernizing operations, and improving compliance, thereby giving arenaflex a competitive edge.

Responsibilities and Expectations

The Quality Control Standards Data Analyst intern will be responsible for:

  • Performing and assisting others in the Quality Control group in optimal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
  • Assisting in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
  • Assisting in exploring ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and providing logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
  • Presenting insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
  • Assisting in creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
  • Identifying irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and conveying findings to the Group.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
  • Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
  • May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An involved ability to gather, organize, and analyze large amounts of data with care and accuracy.
  • The capacity to effectively listen, understand, and communicate ideas and present them in writing, verbally, or through presentations delivered to discussions of varying audiences.
  • The ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred.
  • The ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide suggestions using logic and reasoning.
  • The ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred
  • Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred
  • The ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-focused environment
  • The ability to focus on responsibilities independently and be a self-motivated individual.
  • Past internship experience in a related field is preferred
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
  • The ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
