[Remote] National Account Manager, Costco (Westcoast Region)

The National Account Manager for Costco will lead strategic planning and execution of business plans, focusing on category development, distribution, and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Key contributor to the development and execution of Costco US Strategic Customer Plan for PNC
  • Be the key point of contact between Costco US and PNC, and lead the execution of the Annual Plan
  • Responsible for business forecasting, reporting, contracts, and paperwork necessary for ongoing operations
  • Achieve quarterly and annual net sales and trade spending targets by selling approved PNC programs
  • Continuously assess customer goals and strategies, while working with the Sr. Director of Costco Global to determine optimal sales plan for PNC
  • Lead and negotiate Costco US agreements that align with PNC strategies and financial plan for sustainable growth
  • Manage business based on mutually agreed upon priorities and participate in quarterly reviews to proactively identify opportunities and ensure plans are on track
  • Manage travel expenses and company resources in a prudent manner
  • Collaborate with Costco US and internal functions to maintain the PNC/Costco US partnership which drive PNC long term success
  • Actively communicate cross-functionally with PNC departments including RGM, Sales Strategy, Supply Chain, Customer Success, Marketing and Finance to gain alignment and support for the long-term Customer strategy
  • Partner with Sales Strategy & RGM teams to develop comprehensive and aligned annual Account Plans. These plans include forecasted sales and spending by month, annual promotional calendar and account profiles. Identify and understand customer's needs and work with Sales Strategy to customize plans that best meet the customer's strategic direction while optimizing growth opportunities
  • Actively participate on the Sales Team through collaboration, communication and best-practice sharing Skills
  • Be a genuine Premier Nutrition ambassador, who embodies Good Energy values in all communications and interactions
  • Establish aggressive but achievable sales expectations, grow existing business, and build sustainable business relationship in this highly competitive customer, while aligning with the mission and core values of Premier Nutrition within stated profitability goals and the needs of the customers
  • Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and motivation to effectively manage relationships, the details of the daily business operations, and long-term strategic customer plan
  • Communicate with the customer and within our company in an open and honest, transparent and authentic way
  • Take ownership for actions, behaviors and contributions while inspiring and motivating self and others
  • Creative problem solving and strategic management
  • Incumbent must have excellent oral and written communication skills, good analytical and computer skills, a basic understanding of the retail marketplace with Mass, Club, & Grocery channels
  • Must be able to travel 10-15% for annual off-site meetings, training, market visits, and state of the company meetings
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or similar job-related field preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of relevant Sales or Category Management experience with Costco, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry Benefits
