Job Overview

This Customer Service Agent position is primarily responsible for answering patient inquiries with exceptional customer service, while maintaining positive patient relations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective solutions to patient concerns, ensuring that all interactions are handled with empathy, professionalism, and a patient-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear and concise information to address their concerns and needs
  • Learn and understand our ETM software operation, as well as billing and account operations, to provide accurate and efficient support
  • Answer and document all telephone inquiries, ensuring that all interactions are thoroughly recorded and updated in our system
  • Research and resolve problems with patients' bills, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions
  • Update patients' insurance coverage as needed, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Print courtesy claims and itemized statements, as well as rebill accounts after receiving insurance information
  • Arrange financial agreements with patients using budget plans as needed, providing flexible and affordable solutions to support their healthcare needs
  • Perform other duties and assignments as requested, demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as strong communication skills (both oral and written). You should be able to speak, listen, and type simultaneously, with a strong understanding and familiarity with the Microsoft Windows environment. Bilingual English/Spanish language skills are highly desirable, as we strive to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive support to our diverse patient population.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) required
  • Ability to speak, listen, and type simultaneously
  • Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment

  • 4 weeks of on-site training at our Cedar Bluff location in Knoxville, TN, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
