Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing orders, providing expert knowledge of DME products, and delivering outstanding customer service to patients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize our order processing system, Brightree, to input referral information and manage orders up until the point of billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all interactions.
  • Proactively reach out to providers to request return of fully completed or required but missing clinical documentation, necessary to process an order according to department/insurance payor's guidelines, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
  • Share your knowledge of DME products with customers, providing expert guidance and support to ensure informed decision-making and exceptional patient care.
  • Advise patients and referral sources of insurance coverage, out-of-pocket expenses, and any additional costs associated with processing an order, ensuring transparency and clarity in all communications.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, referral sources, and business partners, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Maintain a relationship with referral sources, ensuring timely and efficient order processing, and identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Create purchase orders and send to manufacturers via fax, email, or manufacturer websites, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous customer service experience, either telephonic or face-to-face, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Comfort discussing insurance coverage and financial responsibility with patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their needs and concerns.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, demonstrating a basic understanding of healthcare concepts and principles.
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and respond effectively to challenging situations.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, adapting to new processes and technology with ease.
  • Excellent time management skills, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Superior computer skills, including remote access and computer network proficiency, with thorough knowledge of Outlook and basic familiarity with Excel.
