Key Responsibilities
As a part-time Cybersecurity Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with our Incident Response Team to identify, mitigate, and recover from digital threats. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to conduct needs analysis and provide technical solutions to address business processes and systems
- Ensuring that solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and departmental standards
- Managing project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
- Serving as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams
- Participating in system and acceptance testing
- Extending your work to support group projects as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management principles, theories, and practices
- Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm
- Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
- Basic knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement
- Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain complex, organization-wide programs
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fundamental knowledge of technical environments
- Openness to Agile philosophies
- Coursework or experience related to cybersecurity
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines
- Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year
- Experience resolving business problems in a capstone or case competition
- Ability to thrive in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
- Experience with network security
- Knowledge of cloud security
- Experience with threat intelligence
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Experience with incident response and threat hunting
