Jr. Art Director
Thuma is a modern design company specializing in furniture and home goods. They are seeking a Jr. Art Director to support the Brand Creative team in concept development, production, and post-shoot execution for brand and campaign content.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Art Director on concepting and idea development for campaigns and ongoing content Support brand standards by helping maintain and evolve visual consistency across channels Support art direction on set as needed, helping ensure creative intent translates through execution Create and own compelling visual content that elevates brand storytelling across campaigns and touchpoints Work closely with production partners to help keep shoots organized, efficient, and on schedule Assist with asset organization and management within the DAM system Create decks for campaign launches, internal reviews, creative concepts, and presentations Support content creation for brand moments Assist in pre-production planning, including: Building mood, styling, and reference decks Assisting with shot lists and creative outlines Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure all marketing needs are captured Collaborate on post-production for stills and video: Mark up images and provide direction for retouching Review proofs and conduct quality control to ensure all assets meet brand standards Skills 1-3 years on-set experience, effectively directing talent and crew during shoots A portfolio showing strong visual taste across design, photography, video, or art direction fundamentals Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and familiarity with Figma Experience with Bynder or DAM systems is a plus A working knowledge of production and post-production for stills and video Strong typography, layout, and composition skills An interest in the full pre-through-post production process Awareness of current fashion, design, and culture, with an appreciation for archival references Strong written communication and cross functional collaboration skills The ability to take feedback thoughtfully and collaborate closely with a creative team Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment An eagerness to explore and leverage AI in creative work A curious, self-directed mindset with a genuine desire to learn and grow creatively Benefits Equity/401k: Participation in employee stock option plan and our 401k program where we will match up to 6% of your contributions Comprehensive medical, dental + vision coverage options with generous employer contributions 12 weeks of paid parental leave and company sponsored membership at One Medical arenaflex Laptop, Airpod Pros, Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard Run errands as needed, just get your stuff done We believe healthy, happy, relaxed people do better work Flexibility to work between your home and our office with everything you need to be successful in both We provide an employee discount of 40% off all Thuma products $100 per month to recognize that you will use your cell phone for work related things Up to $150 per month for your commute to our office A complimentary product credit when you start, worth up to $2,000 Company Overview Thuma makes lifestyle-enhancing pieces for the bedroom, the most important room in the house.
