Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Chat Support Associate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Engaging with our community of veterinary professionals through live chats, phone calls, emails, internal discussion boards, and platform demos
  • Providing timely and effective support to users, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems to senior support team members
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to help evolve our platform and improve user experiences
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our platform, its features, and its benefits
  • Communicating effectively with users, both verbally and in writing, to ensure a positive and delightful experience
  • Working proactively to identify and resolve issues before they escalate, and to implement process improvements that enhance user satisfaction
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest platform features and best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1 year of relevant, customer-facing work experience, preferably in a tech or start-up environment
  • A 2-year Associate's Degree or 4-year College Degree in a related field (e.g., communications, business, or a related field)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in chat support, preferably with a platform like Intercom or another similar chat platform
  • Patience and compassion when handling difficult situations, with a strong ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • A strong desire to learn and help our customers succeed, with a positive attitude and a one-for-all team mentality

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Tech or start-up work experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or other related tools
  • Knowledge of veterinary medicine or a related field
  • Experience with platform demos and training
