National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) headquartered near the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking to support an engagement for Government - Federal (USA) Sector Clients. The National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Division of Environmental Health Science and Practice (DEHSP) prevents exposures to environmental health hazards to improve the health of all people in all communities through applied environmental public health science and practice. The mission of the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program (Tracking Program) is to provide information from a nationwide network of integrated health and environmental data that drives actions to improve the health of communities. The National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network is a multi-tiered, Web-based system with components at national, state, and local levels. In collaboration with federal, state, and local partners, the Tracking Program identifies priority environmental health issues, determines key surveillance questions, and evaluates the utility of existing data for answering the question and informing the issue. This Public Health Analyst II position currently best aligns with the Senior Consultant Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive “Jugaad” and dialogue targeting mission success. Pro Sidian Team Members accomplish this mission by acquiring skilled talent for the Tracking Program with a wide range of expertise including informatics, data science, bio-statistics, epidemiology, health education, and communication. Additionally, the program needs staff skilled in program development, strategic planning, evaluation, facilitation, partnerships, and project management. The Tracking Program identifies priority environmental health issues, determines key surveillance questions, and evaluates the utility of existing data for answering the question and informing the issue. Selected data are integrated into the Network and used to describe temporal and spatial trends in disease and potential environmental exposures, identify populations most affected, generate hypotheses about associations between health and environmental exposures, and develop, guide, and assess the environmental public health policies and interventions aimed at reducing or eliminating health outcomes associated with environmental factors. Data are translated into information for targeted audiences and disseminated through a novel, innovative system of query panels, dashboards, info-graphics, and application programming interface. The Public Health Analyst II shall have overall responsibility of the contract activities: planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing and reporting status, deliverables and schedules to the Government. As various Task Orders (sometimes referred to as Call Orders) are issued by the Government, the Public Health Analyst II shall ensure the deliverables are in compliance with the Task Order in terms of budget, schedule, and quality of the delivered product.
