Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll work with patients to explain their medical bills, answer questions, and resolve account balances, using your empathy, listening skills, and communication expertise to build trust and confidence. Key Responsibilities:

* Use empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing and often unexpected medical bills.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and take payments by phone.
  • Use your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day.
  • Support your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus.
  • Continuously improve, with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training.

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in healthcare billing, patient advocacy, or a related field.

  • Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

* Competitive pay, with a base annual salary ranging from $37,440 to $43,680, depending on experience.

  • Monthly performance bonuses ranging from $100 to $400.
