Primary Responsibilities

As a remote customer service representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling a high volume of inbound calls (70-120 calls per day) from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties
  • Providing exceptional service by ensuring all inquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information
  • Ensuring customer needs are met on every interaction (phone, email, written correspondence, etc.)
  • Maintaining department standards for the number of calls, average handle, and time management
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless customer experiences

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1+ years of work experience in a high-volume contact center environment
  • Additional experience as a receptionist or in a role where you commonly took calls on a daily basis (strict requirement)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong remote experience (preferred but not required)
  • Reliable internet connection (minimum 20 UPLOAD & 20 DOWNLOAD internet speed) and a hard-wired connection
  • A smartphone to access VPN
  • Insurance industry experience (considered a plus but not a requirement)
  • A quiet and professional workplace
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Minimum typing requirement of 30 wpm
  • Proficient use of the computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Training and Onboarding

As a new hire, you'll participate in a comprehensive 2-3 week training program, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST. During this time, you'll learn about our products, policies, and procedures, as well as develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role. After training, you'll be assigned to a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, with no weekend shifts unless overtime is presented.

Equipment and Technology

arenaflex will provide all necessary equipment, including a computer, keyboard, and headset. You'll need a smartphone to access VPN, but all other equipment will be provided by the company.
