We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Visual UI Designer to join our growing internal creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces for the Pattern website. You will collaborate closely with the broader marketing team to translate user needs and business goals into compelling visual designs. Your expertise in visual design, typography, and interaction design will be crucial in creating seamless and delightful user experiences, as well as identifying strategic opportunities based on data findings to drive the direction. This is a hybrid role that requires you to work in our Lehi office Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of website strategy and lead the visual design process for it, ensuring high-quality, pixel-perfect deliverables from concept to launch, ready for development handoff
  • Story teller of the Pattern by weaving compelling visual narratives that bring our brand to life, ensuring every design element contributes to a cohesive and impactful user experience
  • Clearly articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders, providing a strong rationale for visual choices
  • Ability to push concepts beyond, to truly make the Pattern website a fundamental element for the company both visually and strategically
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual designs, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand experience for Pattern
  • Actively contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the company's visual brand identity
  • Integrate user-centered design through usability testing and accessible design implementation
  • Employ an iterative design approach, continuously refining and improving designs based on user feedback, data, and testing results

Requirements

  • Related degree and 4+ years of proven experience in product design, building and delivering consumer and/or enterprise products
  • Direct experience across a range of design approaches and methodologies, from persona development and research to prototyping, user research, user needs validation, usability evaluation and the many steps in between
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent experiences that meet user needs, product requirements, and strategic business objectives
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience working in Webflow
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, and fluent in responsive design
  • Skilled at designing dashboards, data visualizations, and reports
  • Very strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate sophisticated ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Confidence in presenting design rationale persuasively to all functions of the organization, including executives
  • Proven track record working in multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment
