Job Summary

As a 100% remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in processing various medical documents, extracting data, and entering it into our electronic database using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. You will work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion. Your strong analytical and communication skills will enable you to navigate complex healthcare data and provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

A Day in the Role

* Process various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews, and extract relevant data for entry into our electronic database.

• Work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion.
• Use critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reach out to clients via phone to obtain missing information, etc.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to accurately and efficiently enter data into our electronic database.
• Provide exceptional customer service and client coordination over the phone, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Work in a metrics/quota driven environment, meeting productivity and quality standards to ensure optimal results.

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, or data entry) preferred.

• At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a strong track record of productivity and quality in a metrics-driven environment.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace with minimal distractions.
• Own computer or laptop (no Chromebooks) with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word installed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex healthcare data.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

• Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a strong track record of meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems.
• Certification in medical coding or a related field (e.g., CMC, CPC, or CCS).

Schedule

* Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST
