Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled Data Entry Clerk to join our data management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our database from paper documents, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Data Entry: Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Customer Data Entry: Type in data provided directly from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Spreadsheet Creation: Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, utilizing your expertise in MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Data Verification: Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our database.
  • Data Updates: Update existing data in our database, ensuring that our records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Data Retrieval: Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested by our team members.
  • Data Backup: Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss.
  • Paperwork Organization: Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost and remains easily accessible.

Requirements and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential skills and qualifications:

  • Fast Typing Skills: You should be a fast and accurate typist, with a strong understanding of the touch typing system.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Office Equipment and Computer Hardware: Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Database Understanding: Basic understanding of databases and data management principles.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Great attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in your work.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable for this role:

  • Experience in Data Entry: Previous experience in data entry, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Customer Service Experience: Proven customer service experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service to clients.
  • Database Management: Experience with database management systems, including data entry, verification, and updates.
  • MS Office Certification: Certification in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and other relevant tools.
