About the Role

In this Remote Customer Service and Sales Representative role, you will serve as a Retention Specialist, playing a vital part in the growth of our organization. Your primary goal will be to retain customers who are considering canceling their services, by providing expert solutions and recommending long-term options that meet their needs. You will handle a high volume of incoming calls, acting as a problem-solving specialist in a retention and sales capacity. Your ability to deliver award-winning customer experiences will be crucial in increasing brand loyalty and retaining customers for the long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize customer service and sales experience to resolve customer issues and provide tailored solutions
  • Save the business by re-selling customers on the value of arenaflex and what matters most to them
  • Persuade and upsell customers, reducing frustration and displeasure to ultimately save customers
  • Handle back-to-back calls with care, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring the best customer experience
  • Use attention to detail and active listening skills to uncover customer issues and concerns
  • Leverage exceptional de-escalation skills to resolve difficult escalated calls and provide multiple offers to address customer concerns
  • Retain long-term business for arenaflex through customer service commitments and provide the right solutions to save customers
  • Consistently improve performance and achieve goals, using proven problem-solving skills to quickly identify the cause of cancellation requests
  • Multitask and use various tools to help retain customers and make them customers for life
  • Maintain knowledge of arenaflex policies, products, services, and systems, as well as knowledge of the industry and competitors

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role, with a focus on selling or saving customers
  • 2+ years of call center customer service and sales experience
  • High school diploma, GED, college degree, or some college experience
  • Ability to work with numerous screens and programs open to help resolve customer issues
  • Experience in sales, customer retention, customer experience, and retaining customers' loyalty to a product or service
  • Ability to interpret contracts and communicate terms and conditions
  • Strong active listening and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a retention specialist role or similar position
  • Knowledge of the smart home security industry and competitors
  • Experience with sales and customer service software and systems
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
