Location: REMOTE Salary: $185,000.00 USD Annually - $200,000.00 USD Annually Description: Our client is currently seeking a Director / Sr. Director – AI Services Job Title: Director / Sr. Director – AI Services Location: United States (Remote with NJ presence on occasion) Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to head our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Services division. This role will drive strategy, innovation, and delivery across AI, Generative AI, and Machine Learning (ML) service lines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise AI transformation and scalable delivery frameworks, and will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to implement AI-led solutions that deliver measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the AI services vision and roadmap for enterprise clients.
- Identify AI-driven growth opportunities and shape go-to-market strategies.
- Build and scale AI Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
- Translate complex business challenges into AI-powered solutions in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Lead pre-sales efforts, including RFP responses and proposal development for AI/ML and GenAI initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on AI adoption and data transformation.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams (Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, AI Architects) for end-to-end project delivery.
- Ensure governance, quality assurance, and timely delivery across engagements.
- Develop reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks to streamline solution deployment.
- Integrate emerging AI technologies (LLMs, RAG, multimodal AI, automation, etc.) to foster innovation.
- Collaborate with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AI technology partners.
- Promote internal upskilling and thought leadership through publications and client showcases.
- Build and mentor high-performing AI teams.
- Align talent strategy with business growth and evolving tech trends.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
- 15–20+ years of IT experience, including 8+ years in AI/ML leadership roles.
- Proven success in building and scaling AI practices and delivery teams.
- Strong background in enterprise AI solutioning and program delivery, preferably within Life Sciences.
- Technical expertise in:
- Generative AI (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Cloud AI platforms (AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI)
- Data & MLOps pipelines, Prompt Engineering, LLM Fine-tuning
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience establishing AI/ML Centers of Excellence or delivery units.
- Exposure to revenue ownership or P&L management.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, conferences, or patents.
- Global experience working with clients in the US and EU.
