Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee

The Auto Claims Adjuster Trainee will be responsible for learning basic adjusting skills and delivering excellent customer service while handling automobile physical damage claims.
Responsibilities
- Sets up first notice of losses (FNOL) using Safety’s proprietary software programs
- Interprets coverage and identifies potential coverage defenses
- Gathers and analyzes relevant information from insureds, claimants, witnesses and law enforcement to establish liability and scope of damages
- Becomes proficient in using various software and database programs
- Applies Massachusetts Standards of Fault to determine liability
- Identifies all subrogation opportunities
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative business relationship with our agency partners
- Delivers first class claims service to Safety’s valued customers
Skills
- College degree required
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service experience desired
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
