Would you seek the same challenge?At LSEG, we help our customers achieve success by providing access to an open platform that uncovers opportunity and catalyses change.Role PurposeThis role sits in the Government Relations & Regulatory Strategy (GRRS) UKMEA team and is central to anticipating, developing and implementing advocacy strategies to influence the policy environment in which LSEG operates. You will help advance LSEG’s policy/regulatory agenda and profile with key stakeholders across the UK and beyond. You will also act as a strategic adviser on policy, regulatory, reputational and geopolitical issues impacting our business, our customers, and the markets we operate in.Role Responsibilities:
- Lead on key UK policy areas, including market data and benchmarks, applying strong regulatory expertise to shape LSEG’s positions through stakeholder engagement and consultation responses.
- Support additional policy areas such as sustainable finance, capital markets, geopolitics and corporate governance.
- Coordinate written responses to political and regulatory authorities, ensuring clarity and alignment with LSEG’s strategic objectives.
- Represent LSEG externally at roundtables, trade associations, cross-government initiatives and working groups to influence policy outcomes.
- Advise senior leaders, including ExCo and divisional management, on UK and international policy and regulatory developments.
- Expertise and proven track record in influencing regulatory and policy outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience coordinating written responses to political and regulatory authorities.
- Deep understanding of global financial ecosystems and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong international perspective and ability to navigate cross-border policy landscapes.
- Excellent political acumen and understanding of UK policymaking, including Whitehall and Westminster.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to simplify complex issues.
