Responsibilities:
As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo and passengers. Your duties will include:
- Securing cargo, mail, and freight from damage, loss, or weather conditions
- Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting cargo, mail, and freight to and from aircraft
- Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
- Working with scanners and computers to ensure accurate tracking and delivery of cargo
- Booking flights based on operational needs
- Working a variety of shifts, including early morning and evening shifts, with the potential to work 20-40 hours per week
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and security
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50-70 pounds)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow)
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, safety toe footwear, and high-visibility safety clothing
