Job Overview

As a Full Stack Data Architect at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing our data architecture, ensuring the seamless integration of data from various sources to support business applications. You will lead the development and maintenance of our data center, working closely with a team of data architects to improve data models, quality, and administration. Your expertise will help drive business decisions, inform strategic initiatives, and enhance our overall data-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the subject matter expert in business data spaces or domains (e.g., Sales, Stock, Innovations, etc.).

  • Define and validate datasets for information utilization (e.g., Reporting, Data Science, APIs, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise data methodology and architectural guidelines for maintaining the performance, quality, data security, and compliance of ensured data sets.
  • Create coordination documentation that records how data should move from source systems to the utilization layer (e.g., Source to Target Mappings).
  • Support Information Stewards in the Delivery Team(s) in capturing and recording business metadata (e.g., definitions).
  • Assess existing data architectures to improve data velocity.
  • Stay current on industry trends for data-related advancements, models, and techniques.
  • Record and provide recommendations resulting from data quality analysis.
  • Drive the data architecture process in collaboration with business engineering.
  • Build, advance, and maintain theoretical, intelligent, and physical data models.
  • Prompt the team on translating business needs into long-term engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data platform teams to lead continuous execution improvement by investigating and presenting new innovations.
  • Assist in defining data integration, storage, replication, and change conventions for the data layer of technical solutions supported by business engineering.
  • Participate in the delivery of functional business execution monitoring capabilities.
  • Conceptualize ideas with database designers, data specialists, and data scientists to create new data products.
  • Tutor and mentor the data architecture team on new advancements and approaches in data engineering and architecture.

Requirements

* Strong understanding of data set management concepts (social data sets, NoSQL, etc.).

  • Experience working with data modeling tools (erwin, PowerDesigner).
  • Experience architecting and delivering data integration and ETL solutions.
  • Experience designing and implementing execution advanced data models.
  • Willingness to work off-hours as required, including on-site and on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis.

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years' experience in data engineering with large and complex datasets.

  • 2+ years' experience working with cloud technologies like Azure SQL DB, ADLS, Azure Databricks, Universe DB, and other related datatechnologies.
  • Skill in architecting and designing OLTP data models to support business applications.
  • Understanding of data standardization procedures.
  • Experience driving data engineering and data solutions through agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the retail industry.
  • Experience leading software development teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
