Job Summary

As an Experienced Behavior Therapist - ABA at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, providing one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs. Under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will implement evidence-based treatment plans, collect behavior and skill acquisition data, and work collaboratively with families and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum

• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
• Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans
• Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
• Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
• Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred

• Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting
• 1-year ABA Experience (or equivalent experience in a related field)
• Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
• Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
• Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings

Physical Requirements

* Employee must be able to lift up to 35lbs.

• Required to perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time.
• Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children.
• Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
