Description Your Impact This position is responsible for proofreading the work of editors for accuracy and style consistency and to ensure that legislative material has been interpreted and incorporated correctly into a unified document. They prepare legal material for accurate presentation both online and in print. The Supplement Proofreader is inherently motivated and works successfully in a team atmosphere. The Supplement Proofreader has an excellent command of the English language. They are able to concentrate for long periods, have a strong attention to both pattern and detail, are comfortable and experienced with Word and the Microsoft suite of products, and are able to learn and apply new subject matter quickly. The Supplement Proofreader is able to successfully coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple projects in an environment that is fast paced and deadline-driven.   • Organize, plan, and prioritize projects.
  • Proofread legislative material and legal documents for accuracy and style consistency.
  • Use problem solving and reasoned, independent thought to make informed decisions regarding municipal law.
  • Interpret legal subject matter for appropriate placement in a unified document.
  • Understand legal information in an organized outline format.
  • Actively participate in departmental and team meetings.
  • Meet or exceed productivity metrics, quality standards, and team expectations.

  • Proficient computer and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to learn new technical subject matter quickly.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated Salary Grade Range: $32,000 - $42,200
  • *

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
