About the Role

Lead the delivery of substation and grid connection projects from 33 kV to 400 kV, covering feasibility studies, FEED, and Owner’s Engineer services. Act as a trusted advisor and technical authority, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, managing resourcing, and ensuring successful outcomes. Guide and develop a small team of consultants and project engineers, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and professional growth while maintaining a strong focus on quality, budget, and client satisfaction. What You’ll Do

• Lead feasibility, FEED, and Owner’s Engineer projects, ensuring quality and client satisfaction
• Provide technical oversight on substation and grid connection designs aligned with safety, standards, and regulation
• Represent technical and commercial positions with senior stakeholders
• Manage project resources and priorities across concurrent assignments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver integrated engineering solutions
• Mentor and coach consultants and engineers, supporting their development
• Contribute to proposals, bids, and business development
• Champion curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement What You Bring
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 15+ years of experience in transmission and distribution, with strong substation expertise
• Proven leadership in project delivery and resource coordination
• Experience delivering feasibility, FEED, and Owner’s Engineer services
• Strong understanding of grid connections, renewable integration, and regulatory frameworks (TO, DNO, Grid Code)
• Chartered Engineer status or working toward it
• Strong communication, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills What’s in It for You
