About the Role

As the Engineering Manager, AI in our Artificial Intelligence group, you'll be responsible for leading the development of core AI/ML capabilities that power our products and drive customer success. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior team members, and drive the scientific roadmap of the area. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a long-term strategy and roadmap for integrating AI/ML technology across our product portfolio, driving business objectives and customer value.
  • Lead the development of core AI/ML models and algorithms that drive our product's key use cases in cybersecurity and observability domains, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.
  • Partner with Product Leads to build a strategic product vision, coupled with a flexible science/engineering plan, supporting learning through iteration and experimentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in AI/ML, ensuring that these advancements are properly incorporated into our technology roadmap and product development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their growth and skill development, and ensuring the team's success.
  • Develop structures to hold the team accountable for progress, learning, communication, and meeting business objectives, driving a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • In-depth knowledge and proven track record in AI/ML technology, including deep learning, time series modeling, natural language processing, and unsupervised learning.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven track record in Generative AI technology and Large Language Models (LLM), with a strong understanding of their applications and potential.
  • Experience with leading and managing machine learning teams of applied scientists and engineers, driving innovation and growth.
  • Experience with developing large-scale, complex models and deploying them in production systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Experience with setting and executing innovation strategies at both technical and organizational levels, driving business objectives and customer value.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications, ensuring that our solutions are designed for success.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in the Cybersecurity industry, with a deep understanding of its challenges and opportunities.
  • A strong track record of driving innovation and growth through AI/ML technology, with a passion for staying at the forefront of the field.
