Experienced Military OneSource Specialty Consultant – Remote Opportunity to Support Military Families and Provide Expert Consultation Services

The Military OneSource Program is a 24/7 support system that offers a broad array of information, resources, education, referrals, and counseling to approximately 4.7 million participants worldwide. This program serves as a "one source" for resource and information, encompassing a comprehensive support system that addresses the unique challenges faced by military families. Job Overview and Responsibilities As a Military OneSource Specialty Consultant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of military families. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized, tailored assistance and referral services to program participants. You will specialize in providing information and referrals on specialized DoD programs that directly impact military members and their families' lives. Your expertise will be utilized to address core areas, including special needs, transitioning Veterans, relocation and transition services, building healthy relationships, new parent assistance and education, and peer-to-peer support. Provide psychoeducational, virtual support, and specialty consultation services to eligible participants seeking to speak with an individual possessing the experience, knowledge, training, tools, and resources to assist the participant. Navigate resources, resolve complex concerns, assess, and act in crisis situations. Identify high-risk cases, deescalate with professionalism, and make referrals as appropriate. Document cases according to program guidelines and maintain accurate records. Perform follow-up calls and reporting as necessary to ensure participants receive the support they need. Maintain internal and contractual training requirements to stay up-to-date on the latest resources and best practices. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a behavioral health-related field, such as social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling. Alternatively, you may have a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a related discipline, plus at least 4 years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling major. Ability to use telephonic and video-based platforms to meet contract performance requirements. Possess strong customer service skills, knowledge of call center operations, and knowledge and understanding of military lifestyle and culture. Experience, preferably supporting the military community, to demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following specialty areas: adoption, adult disability care, education, elder care, health and wellness coaching, peer-to-peer support, special needs, wounded warrior, or spouse relocation and transition. Proven proficiency in bolthires-based tools, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and web-based research and electronic documentation systems. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to speak fluent English. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly preferred: Fluency in Spanish. Veteran/military retiree, wounded warrior, and/or military spouse. Experience working with and/or for military communities. Employee assistance program (EAP) experience.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $46,800 - $84,600 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
