The Data Engineering Team at blithequark

The Data Engineering team at blithequark is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data pipelines that power our business. We work closely with our colleagues in Choice Science, Client and Innovation, and other departments to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and actionable. Our team is passionate about using data to drive business decisions and is committed to staying at the forefront of the latest technologies and trends.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us shape the future of data-driven decision making. As a Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based data pipelines, as well as working with our colleagues to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and actionable. This is a full-time remote position, with a salary of $27/hour.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python

  • Work with our colleagues in Choice Science, Client and Innovation, and other departments to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and actionable
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT information pipelines, as well as data set blueprint/tables/sees
  • Deliver datasets as contribution to science models and representations
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain automated work schedulers and other tools to support data engineering workflows
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and apply this knowledge to improve our data pipelines and processes

Requirements

* Four-year college education in Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL information pipeline development and support
  • Demonstrated expertise and skill using Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment (Dev, QA, Goad, etc.) and DEVOP strategies for code organization/advancement
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated work schedulers
  • Strong understanding of social data set plan and capability
  • Experience working with huge datasets and large data advances, ideally cloud-based, like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
  • Proficiency on cloud design and item contributions, ideally AWS
  • Experience overseeing and conveying code utilizing a source control item like GitLab/GitHub
  • Experience using Docker
