You'll play a critical role in executing the strategic direction of our State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts, while coaching and developing our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager State & Higher Education at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

• Executing the strategic direction of our SLED managed travel accounts, including increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of our corporate travel programs and services
• Coaching and developing our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
• Identifying, hiring, onboarding, and training a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
• Analyzing data and metrics to inform business decisions and optimize performance
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure blithequark remains a leader in the managed travel space

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the managed travel industry
• Proven track record of success in sales, account management, and team leadership
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software applications

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
• Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools
• Certification in a related field, such as sales or marketing
• Experience working with government or higher education institutions

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As a Manager State & Higher Education at blithequark, you'll be eligible for a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

• A base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience
• Bonus and commission opportunities based on performance
