Key Responsibilities

As a Cargo Agent – Remote Customer Service Representative, your primary duties will include:

• Adequately operating floor support equipment, such as tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors.
• Adapting to flexible work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Working in inclement weather conditions.
• Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational procedures and tactics, even under time constraints.
• Correctly loading, unloading, and delivering mail and cargo to and from planes, ensuring on-time shipments.
• Shielding cargo and mail from harm, loss, and climate.
• Properly driving and operating floor systems, including tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
• Repeatedly carrying and loading shipments onto carts, ensuring each shipment reaches its destination.
• Operating scanners and computers to ensure mail and cargo are routed correctly to the destination.
• Practicing safety-aware behaviors in all operational approaches and techniques.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimal Qualifications)

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Be able to drive and safely operate a forklift, baggage tug, and tow tractor.
• Be proficient in English.
• Exhibit excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand precise instructions.
• Project a professional image.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Be able to correctly complete applicable training instructions.
• Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions.
• Be capable of working in various climates, both inside and outside the warehouse.
• Pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test.

• Be able to obtain and maintain an airport badge with a customs seal.
• Pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal records file check, as required by federal regulation.
• Be legally authorized to work in the US.
• Wear required agency-authorized personal protective equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe shoes, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high-visibility safety apparel, as required.
• Where permitted by applicable law, have obtained or be willing to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire to be considered for a U.S.-based position, if not currently employed by blithequark.
