Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack DevOps Engineer to join our team in Illinois, USA. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for driving the organizational change in creating DevOps tooling, practices, and culture. You will contribute to business-wide needs and ensure the adoption of same, including transparency, flexibility, accessibility, security, and cost effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead DevOps strategy covering planning, development of tools, practices, and culture
- Establish and uphold DevOps best practices, including version control, code review, automated testing, and deployment techniques
- Design and manage infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage assets across cloud environments
- Execute and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar, to ensure fast and reliable application deployment
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure teams are adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement, development, and automation to enhance deployment/failback consistency and accuracy
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps environment
- Coach and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience working in public cloud environments, GCP (e.g.), Azure, or AWS, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automating asset provisioning and deployment
- Active involvement in CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or similar
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex DevOps stage issues and provide effective solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Cloud Logging Solutions) to ensure application performance and system health
- Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps, including experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance frameworks, and secure deployment practices
- Leadership experience, including mentoring and directing junior specialists, is a plus
