Job Overview

As a part-time customer service representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for receiving and processing customer orders via telephone, ensuring that all customer requests are handled promptly, efficiently, and professionally. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, and it's essential that you provide a positive experience, making a concerted effort to listen to their needs and address their concerns. In addition to your primary duties, you will be cross-trained in other positions within the department and may be asked to perform these functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle an average of 110 customer interactions per eight-hour shift after four months in the position, including incoming and outgoing calls
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customers, solving routine and complex problems in a professional manner
  • Display active listening and superior customer service skills for both external and internal customers
  • Document activity in the DDF system and consistently check appropriate DDF screens for report results to call back to customers
  • Enter orders manually via our fax process and operate the phone system effectively
  • Adhere to your work schedule and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should demonstrate the ability to perform different tasks you've been trained for in the call center, with the retention of this knowledge being a critical part of cross-training our call center personnel. Additionally, you should have:

  • Computer knowledge and strong customer service skills
  • Solid communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with good organizational skills
  • The ability to type 35-40 words per minute and be flexible and adaptable to change
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with medical terminology or experience preferred but not required
  • High-speed internet for remote work

  • Able to provide exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
