Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate I, you will be the face of blithequark, responsible for delivering a world-class shopping experience to every customer. Your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting customers with questions and recommendations, providing personalized service and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and receiving merchandise in accordance with productivity standards
  • Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment, maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Manage cash register operations, processing transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain store security, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Receive and process merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a well-stocked store
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and expectations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
  • Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Knowledge of retail operations and procedures
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
