As a remote customer service representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with customers to resolve their queries, address their concerns, and provide personalized support.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Center Assistant to join our remote customer service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring that all interactions are handled in a professional and courteous manner. This is a contract position, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role, contingent on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the primary liaison with customers, resolving problems related to the application process and service

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers via telephone and/or written correspondence regarding all aspects of claims process
  • Educate and inform customers about the documentation required to process a claim, required time frames, payment information, and claim status
  • Enter verbal and written application information accurately into the claims management system
  • Assign new claims to the appropriate claim's handler
  • Direct customer calls to the correct person at all locations
  • Participate in and maintain a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team
  • Attend scheduled work hours and be available to work during peak periods

Additional Responsibilities

* Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Support the organization's quality program(s)

Qualifications

* Education: High school diploma or GED required

  • Experience: One (1) year customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Experience in an inbound call center preferred
  • Skills & Knowledge:

+ Knowledgeable in disability plan eligibility, coverage, and benefits + Good customer service skills + Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills + PC literate, including Microsoft Office products + Strong organizational skills + Good interpersonal skills + Ability to work in a team environment + Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Compensation and Benefits

* Hourly rate: $17.00 per hour

  • Shift: Morning shift (8am - 5pm)
  • Work Location: Remote
  • Initial 3 days on-site, followed by 100% remote work
