Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will possess excellent data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and entering data into our company databases and computer systems, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the integrity of our data.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and logging receipt of data
  • Transcribing source data into the required electronic format
  • Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
  • Verifying integrity of data by comparing it to source documents
  • Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
  • Using basic office equipment (photocopy machine, facsimile machine, etc.)
  • Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
  • Completing additional assigned tasks as required
  • Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry

Requirements

To be successful as a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
