A Day in the Life of a Phone and Chat Specialist at blithequark

As a Phone and Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for navigating online platforms to verify nurses' credentials, following up with written messages to confirm their validity, and handling follow-up phone calls to ensure a smooth experience for both parties. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and technical expertise will be essential in providing top-notch service to our clients and candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage large volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner

  • Multitask across multiple chat channels simultaneously
  • Adhere to established communication scripts when handling various topics
  • Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research, and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Access company and client resources to accurately handle calls
  • Perform data entry and customer service tasks with precision
  • Navigate online platforms efficiently to verify credentials and facilitate communication
  • Work requests/records received for those requesting to sign up for shifts
  • Identify customers' needs, research to determine if requests have necessary credentials
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and tasks without compromising efficiency or composure
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times
  • Remain positive and professional in all customer interactions
  • Be open to cross-training and professional development opportunities

Essential Qualifications:

* 1 year of customer service or customer support experience

  • 1 year of previous call center or office background experience required
  • Technical savvy and proficiency in navigating online platforms
  • Previous remote work from home experience a plus
  • Quick learner with the ability to work independently
  • Type 35 words per minute accurately
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
  • A background check applicable with state and federal laws is required

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a fast-paced call center environment

  • Proficiency in data entry and customer service software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues

Compensation and Benefits:

* Starting pay: $14/hour, plus shift differential (extra $1/hr nights & wkds) and possible increase after 90 days pending attendance and performance

  • Work hours: Shifts between 7:00am-7:00pm (CST), Work Days: Mon-Fri and rotating weekends
  • Paid Training: 3 weeks in length from 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri (CST)
  • Status: Full Time 40 hours
  • Equipment Provided: blithequark will ship equipment to full-time permanent employees
  • Must have verified internet service (secure, reliable, and dedicated high-speed is required to support business needs) and an established dedicated work area (desk, chair, electrical outlet, direct LAN connection)

Hardware/Software Requirements:

* Processor: Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater

  • Memory: 8GB on Windows 8.1 / 10 64 bits
  • Screen Resolution: 1280x768 or higher, dual monitors required
  • USB headset
  • Up-to-date antivirus software must be installed on the platform and a recent scan completed
