As a Behavior Therapist, you'll play a vital role in implementing ABA therapy programs, working closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and empowering children and families to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with ASD.
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, and conduct discrete trials.
  • Implement behavior support and treatment plans, in collaboration with a BCBA supervisor.
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and preparedness for therapy sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred in a related field, such as Psychology, Education, or Sociology.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, and 1 year of ABA experience (or equivalent).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35lbs, and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for periods of time.
  • Reliable Transportation: A personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • RBT Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus.
  • Autism Experience: Experience working with individuals with ASD, or in a related field.
  • Special Education Experience: Experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor.
