Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with ASD.
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, and conduct discrete trials.
- Implement behavior support and treatment plans, in collaboration with a BCBA supervisor.
- Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and preparedness for therapy sessions.
- Work collaboratively with a BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred in a related field, such as Psychology, Education, or Sociology.
- Experience: 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, and 1 year of ABA experience (or equivalent).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35lbs, and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for periods of time.
- Reliable Transportation: A personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RBT Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus.
- Autism Experience: Experience working with individuals with ASD, or in a related field.
- Special Education Experience: Experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor.
