Hybrid Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Who we are:: Springfield Animal Hospital, a 3-doctor practice with a well-established staff committed to unparalleled patient care and exceptional customer service, is looking to add an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Client Care superstar to our team! We are more than a group of compassionate veterinary professionals; we are a supportive team that believes in a 'better together' philosophy and strives to cross-train and educate our staff so that we can all find a growth path. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will assist in providing exceptional care to our animal patients while supporting the veterinarians in day-to-day operations. This position with opportunities to grow and expand your skill set in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your passion and experience will make you a valuable part of our team by:
- Working with clients in person, on the phone and via e-mail
- Assisting veterinarians during exams and treatments
- Obtaining patient histories and vitals
- Administering medications and vaccinations as prescribed
- Preparing lab samples and performing diagnostic tests
- Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records
- Ensuring the clinic is clean and organized, following infection control, OSHA & AHHA protocols
- Caring for dogs and cats that are staying in hospital
