Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Entry-Level Remote Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and security of our systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute new network configurations as well as optimize the efficiency of current networks
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment
  • Procure network hardware and manage subcontractors involved in network installation
  • Design routing and switching to optimize network efficiency and security
  • Recommend changes to improve network architectures and determine hardware or software requirements associated with such changes
  • Provide technical support to junior staff
  • Offer technical guidance or support to the development or investigation of systems
  • May perform other work duties as directed by Supervisor's Leaders

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent traditional training
  • Transitional level experience, fully working broad knowledge in:
  • Industry-related experience as a Network Specialist
  • Network equipment/platforms (Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS)
  • Communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols
  • WAN networking
  • Network analytic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience/foundation in data center(s) is preferred but not required
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues
  • Knowledge of hardware components, systems, software, and networking technologies
  • Ability to mentor/guide others to perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, solution improvement, and implementation within specific technology areas
  • Skilled in collaborating, communication, and exchange in working with Business Clients and Technology support
  • Ability to prioritize really and take on multiple simultaneous tasks, whether administrative or project-related while maintaining a successful degree of completion in all responsible self-work as well as the work of others
  • Ability to create, present, and really convey complex ideas and systems in both technical and non-technical language to various audiences
  • Ability to work really in a fast-moving, team-based, Client care-oriented environment with high respect for hospitality
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving network traffic and issues
