Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conducting tax planning and consulting for clients to minimize tax liabilities and enhance compliance, providing strategic recommendations to help them achieve their financial goals.
  • Performing multi-state income tax analysis and ensuring proper filing for clients across different jurisdictions, staying up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations.
  • Researching and analyzing complex tax issues, providing expert guidance and advice to clients, and staying current with industry developments and trends.
  • Utilizing CCH tax software and QuickBooks Online for accurate tax preparation and record-keeping, and staying proficient in the latest technology and tools.
  • Collaborating with clients to gather necessary information and documents for tax filings, providing exceptional client service and ensuring timely delivery of tax returns.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior tax associates and staff.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and consulting, with a strong understanding of U.S. income tax, including multi-state income tax regulations.
  • Experience with C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary tax returns, and a strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using CCH tax software and QuickBooks Online, with the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification preferred or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
