Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Adjunct Faculty member to teach Mathematics at our Amarillo campus. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics courses using engaging and effective instructional methods and techniques
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote student involvement and application of mathematical concepts
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic success
  • Participate in course and curriculum development, revision, and evaluation to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance and academic performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring Mathematics, with a preference for experience in higher education
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community members from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and instructional methods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching Mathematics in a higher education setting
  • Familiarity with learner-centered and high-impact instructional methods
  • Proficiency in computer operation, multimedia classroom instruction software, and willingness to learn new technologies
