Job Details

* No outbound or cold calling – all inbound call handling

  • Full-time position with rotating weekends
  • Second shift hours available with night & weekend shift differential pay
  • Starting salary $18 to $19 per hour or more based on experience
  • Hybrid work model
  • Location: Stevens Point, WI, and Houston, TX

Job Description

As an Experienced Travel Insurance Customer Care Professional, you'll be responsible for managing in-coming calls from travelers and travel advisors interested in learning about our travel insurance products. You'll provide insurance quotes or policy sales to our customers, utilizing a consultative sales approach to learn about their needs and recommend an appropriate product to protect against risks associated with their upcoming travel. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to travelers and travel advisors
  • Educating customers on the benefits and coverages of our travel insurance products
  • Recommending an appropriate product to meet the customer's unique travel plans
  • Meeting state licensing requirements to sell insurance
  • Responding to high-end clientele with professionalism
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and issues

Key Qualities and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A record of providing outstanding customer service (1+ years preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think outside the box and provide creative solutions
  • Proven experience in sales is beneficial
  • Ability to respond to high-end clientele with professionalism
  • Experienced in the travel industry; experience in domestic or international travel along with geography knowledge is highly beneficial
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
