Job Description

As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

• Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all community members adhere to our community guidelines and rules.
• Deleting messages made by users that violate our rules and guidelines.
• Banning users who have multiple and repeat violations of our rules and guidelines.
• Muting users who have violated our rules and guidelines.
• Investigating reports made by users about violations of our rules and guidelines.
• Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies.
• Providing excellent customer service and support to our community members.

Key Responsibilities:

* Moderate chat conversations to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all community members.

• Enforce community guidelines and rules to prevent harassment, bullying, and other forms of toxic behavior.
• Investigate and resolve user reports in a fair and timely manner.
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to our community members.
• Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules to ensure consistency and fairness in moderation decisions.

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with Discord and community management principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in community management or moderation.

• Knowledge of community guidelines and rules development.
• Familiarity with online safety and security best practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
