Credit and Collection Specialist

Our client, a leader in the Medical Device industry, is seeking a Credit and Collection Specialist to join their team. As a Credit and Collection Specialist, you will be part of the finance department supporting the credit and collections team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a team-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Credit and Collection Specialist Location: Wayne, NJ (Remote) Pay Range: $25-30/hour Shift: 8AM-5PM Contract: 4-6 Months What's the Job?

  • Utilize discretion in extending credit to customers, including reviewing existing account status to determine whether an order hold should be used.
  • Analyze account information and trends to establish or recommend credit lines in accordance with company policies.
  • Review held orders daily, resolve issues that initiated the hold, and provide notifications to customers and sales.
  • Resolve customer disputes by collaborating with sales, service, pricing, and customer service departments.
  • Prepare recommendations for escalating accounts to third-party collections and recommend write-off requests for bad debt.

What's Needed?

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience in credit and collections.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in SAP
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills with excellent quantitative and analytical abilities.
