Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Basic Esthetics Instructor to join our incredible team. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students in mastering skills associated with fundamental and advanced techniques in skincare. This is a remote role, and you will be working online from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

• Assure the provision of high-quality discussions, learning, and communication
• Grade course materials such as quizzes, tests, and assignments
• Prepare and present program material to meet program/course objectives, including creating PowerPoint slides and class assignments
• Maintain accurate student attendance, assignments, and grades in STARS
• Assist students with navigating in an online environment
• Comply with all state compliance laws/requirements, including HIPAA

Essential Qualifications

• Virginia DPOR Esthetics or Master Esthetics Instructor License in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of esthetics
• Experience with Microsoft Office/Google applications, email, and internet communications

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts and techniques to students with varying levels of understanding
• Patient and supportive approach to providing guidance and support to students as they develop high-level competencies
• Strong organizational and time management skills to assist in preparing instructional materials, coordinating activities, and managing student records
• Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, students, and other teaching assistants to create a positive and productive learning environment
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure prompt communication in an in-person/virtual environment
• Professional and ethical demeanor while interacting with students, colleagues, and staff members
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in the field of esthetics
