Job Overview

As a Behavioral Technician at Key Autism Services, you will play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs, established by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to support children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans and track progress
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, maintaining a high level of professionalism and organization

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards a degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 1-year ABA experience, or willingness to learn and grow in the field
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, and respond quickly to the movements and behaviors of children

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
  • 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
