Key Responsibilities

As a Life Underwriter with TEKsystems, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Completing given cases and assignments in a timely and accurate manner
• Ordering exams and identifying total risk for life insurance applications
• Reviewing medical records and prescription history to assess risk
• Screening medication data for life insurance applications and analyzing high-risk medications
• Assessing adverse health information relating to classification of risk
• Screening life insurance applications for selection of standard and substandard risks
• Evaluating health information received with add-ons and reinstatements
• MIB code reporting and interpretation of MIB code data
• Identifying medical terminology and off-label medication uses

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Life Underwriter
• Experience working with iPipeline's Resonant Underwriting workbench
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to identify off-label medication uses
• Experience working with case limits of $100,000 or more
• Experience working with signing authorities over $100k
• Familiarity with programs such as: Swiss Re, RGA, underwriting Manuals, Score, underwrite.me, John Hancock

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience working in a remote environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
