Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and dedicated individual to tutor students in First Grade, Fundamentals, with a focus on subjects including but not limited to:
- Math
- English Language Arts
- Reading Fluency
- Reading Comprehension
- Phonics/Decoding
- Vocabulary
- Grammar
- Penmanship
- Writing
As a First Grade Tutor, Fundamentals, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
- Effectively balancing tutoring hours for each assigned student
- Successfully and professionally teaching students to fit their individual needs
- Servicing existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests
- Following up with the office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours
- Preparing accordingly for each tutoring session, including lesson planning
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
- Experience with basic Database/Data Entry
- Strong administration skills
- Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
- Reliable transportation with current car insurance
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
Preferred qualifications include experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles, as well as a passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential.
