Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Pennsylvania. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
  • Providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy
  • Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Helping patients translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Ensuring the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner and meeting financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:
  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

Education

You'll need to have a verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $28.45 per hour. In addition to your compensation, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
