About the Role

We're seeking a talented and experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group. As a key member of our team, you'll provide critical support in the design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for various utilities and infrastructure projects. This is a unique chance to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the development of Disney's iconic theme parks and resorts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Civil Engineering Group, including design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewerage, storm water control, water treatment, potable water, and other utilities.
  • Assist in the development of project scope, presentation of trade design solutions, research, site reconnaissance, record preparation, and field support for all phases of engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams to prepare and coordinate internal engineering project deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, corporate design guidelines, and standards.
  • Understand the importance of engineering due diligence and its impact on project success.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong understanding of civil engineering principles, with expertise in grading, hydrology/hydraulics, detention/retention ponds, sanitary and storm sewerage, potable water, and software coordination.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Active membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
