Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting with Beneficiaries and Providers: Respond to customer inquiries via the helpline, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Creating, Formatting, and Proofreading Letters: Develop and review correspondence to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Managing Timeliness and Productivity: Prioritize tasks and maintain high productivity levels to meet performance expectations.
  • Decision Making and Problem-Solving: Make informed decisions regarding complex appeals and provide solutions to customer issues.
  • Building Relationships: Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Utilizing Internal Quality Control Tools: Assess individual work and team processes to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Post-High School Business Courses: Helpful.
  • Medical Terminology: Desired.
  • Excellent Verbal Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Customer-Focused and Results-Oriented: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • General Knowledge of PC-Based Computer Systems: Desirable.
  • Multi-Tasking and Prioritization: Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to Three Years of Clerical Experience: Including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
  • Prior Work in a Healthcare Setting: Recommended.
  • Previous Data Entry or Other Clerical Experience: A plus.
