The Strategic Account Manager develops and owns a strategic plan for assigned accounts, driving execution through expert communication, coordination, and influence. This role manages global customers, builds a sales funnel for future growth, and delivers commercial goals by optimizing share, price, and profitability. It focuses on customer intimacy and strategic partnership to deliver long-term value.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage at least one global customer

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans • Build and maintain a sales funnel for future growth • Drive commercial goals including share, price, and profitability • Apply sales processes and tools consistently • Focus 40% of time on growth and larger opportunities • Train and mentor new sales professionals • Negotiate pricing and margin using value selling and pricing tools • Own and manage the contact matrix for internal and external stakeholders • Deliver customer insights and anticipate future needs

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field • 5+ years of strategic sales or account management experience • Proven ability to manage global accounts and complex negotiations • Proficiency in Salesforce and pricing tools • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in adhesives, chemical, or manufacturing industries • Advanced certifications in sales or account management • Multilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish, German) • Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills • Ability to run technical trials and troubleshoot with R&D and Quality teams
