As a Remote ACT/SAT Tutor & Teacher for School Programs, you will be responsible for delivering engaging academic and test-preparation instruction, fostering supportive relationships with students, and maintaining a professional demeanor in both in-person and remote teaching environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging academic and test-preparation instruction across the Chicagoland area, utilizing a range of teaching methods and materials to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Foster supportive relationships with students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages academic growth and confidence.
• Manage your calendar effectively using Microsoft Outlook, ensuring timely communication with administrators, students, and parents.
• Communicate promptly with administrators, students, and parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Exhibit classroom management skills and uphold professionalism in both in-person and remote teaching environments, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development sessions, staying up-to-date with best practices in education and test preparation.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in English, math, reading, and science, with a strong understanding of the ACT and SAT curricula.
• Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, administrators, and parents.
• Competence in maintaining an accurate calendar and responding to inquiries in a timely manner, utilizing Microsoft Outlook and other digital tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Compensation And Benefits

• Competitive compensation starting at $30/hour for 1-on-1 tutoring and $47/hour for classroom teaching, with opportunities for performance-based increases every six months.
• Tutoring at our Winnetka office offers a starting rate of $45/hour.
• Flexibility to create a schedule that meets both your needs and those of our students, with opportunities for remote work and flexible hours.

• Travel reimbursement available for school programs that require commuting over 30 minutes or more than 15 miles.
